Smoked Blueberries

I recently completed this custom order, to match a pair of earrings that I had for sale in my shop. I do love the earthiness of the oxidized silver. I am pleased with the set, and I am hoping that my customer will be pleased as well!

Grey Brown Aqua

I am lucky enough to have had some great supply packages come in, in the past week. I am really enjoy working with the new beads, chain and findings, plus adding the new supplies to what I had.

I have been working with recycled beads, recyclable metal and recyclable glass. I am building an eco friendly line of jewelry for the green tradeshow. I will admit I really wrestled with what constitutes "green" in jewelry. Can one component make the piece eco friendly or does every component have to be earth friendly? I am still not really sure, but I think if it feels right in my heart, then it will be okay.
I hope.

Swirled Harvest

Today I got four packets of jewelry findings in the mail! Lots of fun! I am excited to have some new sterling silver chain to work with. It's very pretty!

Simply Pearls

I am very fond of pearls. They can be dressed up or down, they are simply beautiful!
Two new listings in my Etsy shop today. Love them both, one with oxidized sterling and the other with oxidized copper.

Found Flowers & Fluted Saucers

Finally something new from me.
I have been busy in the gardens trying to get everything planted.
I kind of fell off the Etsy horse so to say, time to climb back on and see where it takes me.

Spiral Waves and Pale Pretties

I have not been making jewelry lately, I have been in weaving mode, building my shop inventory up. I broke that mode this morning to play with some of the gorgeous beads I bought from Gillian. They are so pretty!

Experimenting with an Egg

I love oxidized metal, but do not like toxic chemicals. I had heard.. read that you can oxidize with boiled eggs, so I thought I would give it a whirl. I found a couple of pairs of earrings that I had not sealed in a ziplock bag so they had started to oxidize on their own. I used them in my experiment. This was one crushed boiled egg in a sealed container for a couple of hours... I am not really impressed. Yes the silver has oxidized but not enough and not evenly. Maybe two eggs and a longer wait time. I am impatient... maybe I didn't wait long enough.

for some reason the sterling chain did not oxidize as much as the ear wires
I will keep playing with it..

Clouds of Sea Foam

It is not very often that I feel pleased with my photos of my jewelry. However this morning, I took this photo of a silver, glass and pearl necklace and I love it. It pleases me aesthetically!
