Sweet Beanie!

Early this morning I was uncomfortable as I have slept on the couch since my surgery so I moved to my beading studio aka Thomas's bedroom. Miss Bean was delighted to find me there when she came in this morning and decided to join me. She is sure turning into a house dog!

she was much too warm
but would not budge from this cozy new bed!

Ice Fishing on Toss A Coin Lake

On Sunday we drove north of Terrace Bay up the mill road to go ice fishing. I was surprised at how much more snow there is up there and how much colder it was than on the Lake shore. We went to a lake right beside the road as I cannot walk far. It was far enough! The dogs love ice fishing and get right int it, they get so excited if they hear one of the bells ringing, they usually get to the hold first. Kinoje would love to eat all the bait and would have loved to eat the pike that Thomas caught.
It was really nice to see Kinoje back to his old silly form, he is feeling so much better, thank goodness. Cali on the other hand was a bit more reserved around the holes, she was a good fisher girl, but couldn't resist rolling in the pike poo... her favourite thing to do.
the dogs were quite excited to see Mark and Thomas pulling the little sleds in

Whoohoo, we had a warm Wednesday!!

We had our first warm spring afternoon today, it got up to a balmy 16°C! Whoo!
Mark and I took the dogs to the river, the Aguasabon. We have spent many many hours here with the dogs over the past 12 years or so. It is a favourite place to go, and it feels like home to our dogs.

Dog Leash and Grey Lapis Skies

Early this morning around 4, Mark solved our leash and dog collar mystery. He caught the fox in action, he was about to steal the cut leash away again when Mark startled him. As he was running off the back step he grabbed one of Marks work gloves, and proceeded to attack it, as it is were alive. He slunk back before Mark left for work and took the other one. What a little brat. Mark says he is a little red beauty! I am glad it is a fox who cut the leash, not someone...

I had the pleasure of making this necklace, as a custom order for a friend, for her mom's birthday present. I am very pleased with it! I hope her mom will be too!
